custom wrap

so a couple days ago i asked if anyone had any measurements on the 2006 and up sticker kit they put on the fjr's
sadly no one had any measurements for me but i said **** it and lets eye ball it so here are a couple pics i took on my evening ride today its far from good but good from far so it fits my motto perfectly

I like it, looks good and that definitely gives it more character. Like Russ just said, "works for me".

breaking up the white definitely looks good to me not everything is as lined up as i hoped but it works im happy with it

I agree you did a good job with those stripes

here is a hint on "how to do it" for anybody else thinking of doing it:
- park your FJR on center stand
- find a picture of FJR with stripes you like on the internet
- download to your laptop, computer, tablet, phone etc
- borrow, rent or buy Home projector (here is one at Best Buy for CAD $89.99 so about US $60)
- point the projector towards your parked FJR
- project the picture from the internet over your bike
- walk the projector away from your bike to match the image to your bike
- use masking tape to trace the stripes (Voilą !!!)
- preferably when late afternoon on a cloudy day or at night

Your bike looks good, nice job. I’ve consider doing something similar.

The projector technique works well. I helped a friend with some hand painted signs years ago and that’s basically what he did.

sounds like a good idea i just eyed it and used some see through paper to mark some spots to line it up
