Hey GPS users - can you tell me about your GPS's bluetooth audio functions?

What I am really looking for is Now Playing information. I am not looking to change tracks - I can do that with my Sena or with the Sena remote.

So, while in navigation mode, does your GPS show anything about the current track playing? If so, what GPS is it and would it be too much to ask for a picture of the display?

Thanks

Garmin 390 and 590 series, no current playname info while in nav mode with only map showing, assuming music on SD card. Additional Apps menu, press Media Player to get full screen/function. On Map Tools screen, press Media Player to get partial player on right portion of screen, can close it out as well to resume full map screen.

I know there isn't a lot of screen real estate to use, but it would be really nice to have that current playing track information in view.

Thanks... anyone know if it is different for recent versions of the Zumo or TomTom rider?

I just discovered that it can be turned on in Google Maps in my phone.

I currently use my phone for navigation but hate the glare and touchscreen. My gloves kind of support capacitive touch screen but it is not great. I have also tried using a mini stylus but grabbing and using that is cumbersome with gloves on when stopped and downright dangerous when driving.

TomTom Rider 550

As far as I can tell, the TomTom Rider 550 won't display any phone info except message notifications.

I'm still playing to the unit - haven't had it long - and there are know bugs with iOS 13, so the jury is still out - but a decidcated GPS unit has big advantages over using your phone (which I did for years).

Yes it does.. I have tried arguing this point with a few trends that just dont get it.. not EVERYTHING I want to go to is in a downtown metropolis

My cheap tom tom ( 5 years old 100 $$ ) has only ever made 2 mistakes..coarse one of them could have cost me 600 miles ..good thing I also had looked at a map

The older Zumo 665 will show the name of the song playing via XM satellite radio, but only when not navigating. If you're just viewing the map (and you can see your tracking in real time), it will announce either the current road you're on or touch the top of the screen and it'll show the current song or track.

If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride might accomplish.
