You can give Admore a call, maybe tell them you've heard several opinions their top box kit for that box is a little underwhelming, and have they got anything brighter in the works.... my opinion, they are just OK in the daytime, running lights not all that visible and brake light intensity should perhaps be the the running lights. At night of course they all show up better (do you ride much at night). The Givi ones are even dimmer and if I recall, are only "brake lights", no running lights. I have that box, it came with the Givis already installed... I never used them, if I did, I'd wire them as running lights.
I installed a Whelen StripLite light bar under my top box, which has running, brake and amber signal lights. It's about 12" long, think I paid ~$90. I like the new Admore light bar better with it's smaller format and sexy sequential signals, I just hate the price. If you're looking for safety, this is the way to go.

I've had no problems with my GIVI top trunk LED brake kit. See pic below.

The GIVI kit is half the price of the AdMore. For my V56, GIVI is $70 versus AdMore for $149 on Revzilla.

I installed the GIVI kit, soldered and heat shrunk everything. Dielectric grease on the contacts on the lid and bottom of the case. Installed almost two years ago, riding year round.

ZERO problems.

If you really want to increase your rear visibility, work on your total rear:
  1. Get some Skene P3 rear LED lights that flicker (programmable and can turn on or off). See the P3s on this BMW.
  2. Add some 3M black reflective tape on your rear saddlebags and on your top trunk
  3. Wear a hiviz or white helmet for even more visibility up top.

Multiple ways to increase people seeing you day or night

The admore light bar is plug and play. Real-time industries sells a variety of reflectives that look great. You can choose ones that are invisible during the day or ones with logos.

I still lust for skene lights on my forks.

Sounds like a good excuse to go for a ride once it warms up!

@Bill Lumberg

With America's worst and most distracted drivers AND the PNW's long dark winters with heavy fog, I installed two sets of Skene Photon Blasters on my forks. The flicker mode really gets you seen:

My factory GIVI lights wired for brakes in my E52 can be seen fine in daylight.

I should clarify that my comments pertain to the E55 only. There are other Givis which have better lighting. I made up my own LED's for my V46 years ago, worked great. I'd attempt that with any of them, but just as soon have the light bar and not have to do any wiring for the top box.

I've got the Givi Maxia 56 and ordered the Givi brake light kit. The contacts in the lid required a shim to keep it solidly in place. The lights seem ok bright but more is always better. I will likely add a couple of bright LEDs to the sides of the license plate. I wired in a couple diodes and a resistor so the trunk light is both a running and brake light. The diode and resistor are wired in with a plug where I tapped into the Yamaha harness near the plug under the side cover. The case still uses just the two contacts with the Givi system. If I have any trouble with the contacts I will hardwire a plug under the trunk. If the spring loaded contacts for the lid give me trouble it will get hard wired. If I ever decide to add a chrome rack to the lid, I might put a bright LED on it. I don't usually take off the trunk and having to unplug isn't a problem.
