Shifter adjustment

I have installed a kit to lower the rider foot pegs. The kit also move the pegs out about one-half inch from the former position. Now there is less space for the toe of my boot to get under the shifter. Has anyone modified the shifter by bending it out and up?

No need to bend shifter.

Right, adjust linkage and pedal position (I did not watch the video, so no comment there) and maybe add an extender. http://www.wunderlichamerica.com/mot...60431-432.html. I've often thought about cutting off the pedal part and making a new longer one.
