Have a look at this link it will give you more options than you have currently considered.

I use a threaded ball in clutch perch & bar riser & a bar mount on right side works great for phone, GPS and Go pro. Allows for variety but GPS is stuck in the center because of power restrictions.
I'm sure it's just me but....

I really do not like having my gps mounted in the center. I am not an audio guy so seeing it is important but mounted in the center gives too much reflection and glare. I found that by mounting on the left or right handle bar I can adjust the angle enough to minimize the problems of seeing.

Do you remember the thread size for the clutch ball mount. Thanks.

This ^^^

I have about a kabillion Ram Balls on the front of mine, including one on each mirror stem (Sirius antenna and GoPro).

I wouldn't have another X-Grip if it were given to me. They are for cars. They might work if you use the rubber grip attachment, but eventually it will cost you your $1000 iPhone.

If you want a mount that works, get a SlipGripMount, with Ram ball attached.

I keep saying that about X grip phone mounts. They are the worst I have seen. I bought one a few years ago and refused to use it. I use a Techmount.

Techmount 4-10998 - Yamaha FJR 1300 Replacement Stem Motorcycle Mount

I used the Techmount...

It's just important to measure your GPS mounting socket dimensions and compare that to the Techmount ball diameter for a good fit.

I used one of these to mount my GPS to. (I think I bought the round one though) It comes in either a square or round plate with the standard AMPs mounting pattern. Then I knew it would have the correct ball size for the stem mount. It also gives me the ability to move my GPS and phone back and forth between the mirror mount and stem mount if I wanted.
