I prefer slipgrip. But nothing is foolproof. The quad lock design looks like a good one.

The video you posted sold me on the product.
I used the Ram Mounts 1" ball that screws into the clutch side controls (just pop the plastic plug out)

And a arm to connect the to together. They make these in several different lengths.

Little off topic but I usually keep my phone in my pocket. I'm now proficient in getting direction from using voice only thru Sena Bluetooth. I ride in heavy city traffic (Seoul,Korea), and had my share of cars slamming brakes in front of me and a fraction of a second to look at a phone or gps could have ended badly. Safe riding everyone.

There's no way the phone is going to fall off without something breaking first.

I took some measurements of my phone in an Otterbox Symmetry Series case and in the Quad lock case for comparison.
Otterbox thinnest - 0.480" thickest - 0.570"
Quadlock thinnest - 0.450" thickest - 0.550"

The quad lock case is very similar to the otterbox except it doesn't have the small strip of rubbery material on the edge of the case. And so far that's my only gripe.
Wireless charging works with the quad lock case also.

Would have taken a test ride except it's SNOWING!

Quad Lock Case
Hi D-Dub,

I too use a Quad Lock. It works very well. But, having lost an Iphone on I-80 in South Dakota using the Ram X-Mount (<-- POS), I tether the phone to my handlebars. Just in case.

If I rode in those conditions I'm sure I would do the same.

You mentioned the wireless charging worked too ?

Did you install this on your FJR on the ball mount ?

Quadlock says it wont work with the small mounts like this ?

Yeah I wasn't very clear about that. I was talking about the quad lock phone case being compatible with my Samsung wireless charger at home. I was worried the case would be to thick to charge wirelessly but that's not the case.
I thought the quad lock wireless charger/mount was over priced and it's not hard wired so you're forced to use a USB type-c cable to power the thing. I might as well just just plug my phone in.
I mounted using 1" ball mounts from Ram Mounts.
