If anyone is looking for a shorty tinted windshield for their Gen I, I have a cut down round top windshield and a Rifle shorty windshield that each can be yours for a decent price plus shipping.

Ok did a 152 mile test ride today.

All the way down, most air, least noise

1/2 way up less wind, more noise

All the way up least wind, most noise and annoying buffeting around helmet

From all the way up, putting it all the way down, makes you go AHHHHHH, perfect

Lol i figured that would be the case. My VStream sport screen which is similar in height to stock, but a bit wider is juuuust tall enough to be good for helmet opened riding on the freeway in full up position. The area in between down, and up, is in my opinion useless... haha

Yeah for me it is most useful all the way down, but if it were chilly I could put it part way up, and it would deflect the wind from my torso. When it gets cool enough to need more protection than that, I'll throw on the Yamaha touring shield.

I'm in Australia and they replaced my full screen.
Top job.
