New Horns

Finally got warm enough up here in the northeast to work in the garage ( mine is unheated and not insulated) this last weekend. So I put on the PIAA horns my son got me for Christmas. He gave me the two horn set, so I replaced the stock horn on one side (50HZ) and put the other one (40HZ) on the radiator bolt on the other side and ran the wires in between.
Quite a difference from the stock horn. Sounds like a tractor trailer rig. It will be interesting to see how the 1st cager texting will react when I push the button on the road.

Congrats on the good choice in horns. I put that same setup on my bike and they really are much better than the stock horn. The look on peoples faces when they get the horn is interesting. They don't expect all that sound to be coming from a bike. I hope you never have to use them in an emergency situation but it's nice to know you can get some attention with them if necessary.

I put the PIAA horns on mine too. Based on my experience, I'm sure you're going to be both happy and safer.

Yep, I put the PIAA's on mine and have used them a couple of times. They honk with authority.

https://www.googleadservices.com/pag...Qwg8IHg&adurl= The small Denali sound bomb is very good, original off,new one on same spot.Very effective......most motorcycles manufacturers are going down this "soft" horn touch...........not the safest of options for riders.

I've never bought a new horn but I agree they are needed. I looked up PIAA and there are a bunch out there. Is there anything specific I need to look for....I mean, will any of them easily swap out for the OEM one? Thanks
