Default Tank Pad

Check this out guys... I've been trying to find a classy "Tank Pad" as to not scratch the tank, perferrably with an FJR logo or so.. And I found one, a Genuine Yamaha Part no less, now here's the catch. It's only available in Europe. What da #@! In order to see it please google the following: Tank Pad 5JW-W0740-00-TP and you'll see it in England somewhere. It looks really nice. I just wrote a letter to you Yamaha USA division, and asked them WHY can't we order that part here in the states, if it's a Yamaha Part?. I'm awaiting their reply, and as soon as I get an answer I'll post back. meanwhile, does anyone out there know where I can purchase it. ( I might better luck with you guys then with Yamaha..) I have two other FJR owners that would be interested in buying it also. I mean, I've seen other pads, this looks sharp. The one Yamaha sells here in the states is Chrome or Carbon Fiber (They look plain if you ask me..)
Thanking you all in Advance, Carlos

Hey FJR Steve, thanks, I but I already e-mailed them last week. He turned me down, saying he doesn't ship to the United States. I would of been willing to pay for the trouble, but I guess not.
By the way, doesn't that pad look awesome !

I contacted Yamaha Australia about these pads and they got them in. They are now also available in Australia, and I've got one.

I got it about 6 months ago, and I'm afraid that's well outside my 10 second memory limit, I don't remember how much it cost, but I do remember it was outrageously expensive. $90 springs to mind, but that figure could well be wrong.

Hey guys, just got a call from Yamaha Corp. Customer Relations Division. They stated that they researched my complaint, before answering me. He said there are three corporation Yamaha USA, Yamaha Canada, and Yamaha Europe. One has nothing to do with the other. (Can you believe that!) Anyway, In other words, "I got a better chance of seeing Jesus Christ walk in thru my door right now, than getting that pad thru Yamaha." Oh well, I never give up, so if there someone out there in England or Australia thats willing to help me out, I'll buy it, pay for shipping etc, etc. Later
