FS: 2015 FJR 1300A - less than 4,200 miles

My work is relocating me to overseas for a few years, and need to let go of this amazing machine.

Acquired new in 11/2015. The only long distance trip is from Seattle - Napa, CA. 4,000 miles service is completed by an authorized Yamaha Dealer, and have extend Yamaha warranty.

A few added items:

1. GSG Street Line Slider (Made in Germany); like OEM without cutting the body work.
2. T-Rex Luggages guards.
3. Sargent World Sport seat (rider only, and OEM seat will be included).
4. Givi SR357 and Givi V47 top case.
5. Admore LED kit for V47 (wired and connected for all designed functions).
6. MV Motorrad raiser plate.
7. OEM Yamaha Touring screen (Sold OEM one here).

Excellent condition, never been dropped/accident, garaged kept all year, only rode in summer/fall dry seasons.

I would like to ask US$12,500, pick up by the buyer. Cashier check is preferred. Please request for more photos if you are interested by PM or email. Thank you,

Having recently sold my Gen I, I think the market for Sport Tourers in general is pretty slow. Plus 12 large (while not unreasonable) is still a wad o' cash for someone to drop on a used machine. It is apparently a bit toward the high end of retail, though, according to NADA:

http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycle...-1298cc/Values

I finally dropped the price on my 2003 model to where it sold quickly during the winter (a "winter special" I called it), but I got less than I was originally hoping for.

Make sure you have this listed on cycletrader.com and Craig's list, too, if you don't already.

Your bike looks beautiful and seems to be in top shape. Best wishes for a sale soon.

Thank you.. I will be listing it on the Cycle Trader and Craig list soon.

I am open for any reasonable negotiations, but at least the buyers should start it first....

It's an unfortunate fact that you are competing with listings like this, and I've seen them lower. This one has only 1300 miles:

https://www.cycletrader.com/dealers/...300A-121701805

That one could probably be had for $10k.

Dealers discount new, and nearly new sports/tourers so heavily if they are not the current year model, that owners who need to sell something similar take a bath, especially if they paid anything like the MRSP for the bike when new.

You might have more luck on your local Craigslist, especially if you are local to someone looking for an FJR when you list it.

This is pretty much why I buy vehicles to keep for a long time. By the time we are done with our bikes and cars, they don't really owe us anything, but I shudder at the thought of having to sell one in a hurry.

I have a friend who was needing to sell an '07. He was only asking $5k, and I could have had it for $4500. In the end he had to let it go, and a dealer gave him less than $4000. It was low mileage and in perfect condition.

Good Luck With Sale.
