2013 FJR 1300 For Sale

I've decided to put my 2013 FJR 1300 ABS up for sale. At 73 my body is just not up to the long trips I used to like to take. While my skills remain ok for the type of riding I do locally I realize, increasingly, that any sort of get off would probably be disaster for me from a physical standpoint.

The bike is in great shape with all scheduled maintenance having been done by an exceptional dealer in Durango, Colorado. It is located in Northwest New Mexico in the town of Aztec. There are airports nearby where I could pick you up if you fly in.

The bike now has just over 13k on it as it sits in my heated garage. It has never been dropped and from a cosmetic standpoint is in perfect condition. It is smoke gray/silver in color. Tires are due to be replaced at 16k when I will do a major service if I still own it at that point. The bike has Canyon Cages, a larger Yamaha touring windscreen and a large Givi topcase. I have the original windscreen unused in the box which will go with the bike as will some unused saddlebag liners. The transferable Yamaha Extended Service Warranty remains in effect until May of 2018.

All this can be yours for the low, low price of $8,500. As an added bonus I will throw in a functioning Garmin Zumo 550 GPS free of charge so you can find your way home.

If you find this of serious interest contact me at rened@centurylink.net and I will send you some photos.

.

Just turning 70 and will regret the day I'm faced with the honorable decision you have made. All the best to ya!

Sounds like a fair price on a low miler. Hope it sells soon.

I am dealing with some of these Old Age Issues with my Dad right now. He is 71 and a month ago he had a Very Bad Crash that totaled his '07 FJR. We have to be honest with ourselves about what we can and cannot do and how long we can do it safely.

I am happy to say that even though his shoulder has not healed enough to allow him to ride he has already replaced the '07 with a very nice '14A with low miles.

I hate to see anyone sell their FJR due to Getting Old but I applaud you for having the sense and the courage to know when to shut things down.

Best of luck with selling your bike and with whatever your future holds.

I am new to this forum, and new to sport touring bikes as I just pulled the trigger and bought a 2012 FJR witth under 5k miles on it and in mint condition. I paid a thousand more than what you're asking. I would've been interested cause in 2013 they made a lot of changes and you have a transferrable warranty. Looks like we just missed each other as far as timing goes.
sounds like a really good deal

GLWS-should sell easily.

These bikes don't get lighter as we age and I've picked up a FJ09 recently and will see if it will replace my FJR.

it has 4500 miles on it and not a scratch, always been covered in a garage. corbin seat, throttle lock.... considering the price of new and the fact that I'm in new England I thought it was a good deal.
