Nicky Hayden critically injured

Send Nicky Hayden some prayers. He was struck by a car in Italy today while he was training on his bicycle and has severe chest and head injurys. It is rumored he has been placed in a medically induced coma.

Just learned about Nicky's crash this morning and was going to post it up. Guy races motorcycles at 200 mph and gets hurt at 20 on a bicycle. Class guy, and here's hoping he pulls thorough.

More info out as of this morning. Does not look good at all which you can tell by the tone of the releases. Critical condition with head injuries. Nicky, thinking of you and your family and wishing it all turns out well.

RIP Nicky, so sad.

I do a fair amount of road cycling and it gets scary sometimes. None riders seem to view us as an object that may slow them down rather than a person...
