I just put a smuggler on (I like the stock seat just fine) and I like it a lot but it's too damned expensive. Very nice fit and all but they'd sell five times as many if they'd cut the price.

I thought that number was wrong. For the '06 the retail price of the Smuggler is $699 - still way too much money for what it is - I might pay $300-400 for it, but not what they're asking.

Default Smuggler

It's $699 just for the storage piece ( smuggler) & $399 for the single seat.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought it. It is really nice looking! AND it is really alot bigger than I thought. I can really pack alot of stuff in there. It does rub the paint under it though, but since I don't intend to take it off, that doesn't bother me.
Every other FJR owner that sees it says "I gotta get me one of those".

It it rubs the paint, stick some thin felt material on the Smuggler at the points of contact.

And . . . you don;t need Corbin's front seat to install one. It works with the stock seat just fine.

Now, if they'll just drop the price . . . . . . .
