The Cal Sci windshield verdict is in

I recieved my Cal Sci "Tall" windshield Friday, installed it yesterday and went for a morning ride today (100 Mi) at speeds averaging 80 MPH to 110 mhh....The windshield exceeded my expectations. It was perfect in everyway. All the way down, the wind hit me at neck level, all the way up and it was perfectly quiet...even made a phone call to my wife doing 90 mph coming home down the freeway. The call was crystal clear with NO WIND noise.. WIth it up you can still see over the windshield or if you want to slouch a little, you can look thru it. A big plus if you hit stretch of love bugs, much less a down poor....

I guess I was intimidated by the word TALL.....thinking it would be 6' high, but when I measured it, it was only around 3" higher...which is absolutely pefect.

All is good.....

Well, I have an 06 and I don't know if there's a difference vs the 05s, but the point was the Cal Sci "Tall" just isn't a massive windshield...as a matter of fact I was concerned at first cause of the little in difference in size between it and the stock one. And yea, it's a couple of 3 inches higher and a couple of inches wider too I'd guess..

The guy at Cal Sci knows all the answers to your questions though...talking to him vs the others was like talking to Enstein vs the 3 stooges..He is very helpful.

I'm 6'.....another 2" shouldn't be a big deal, but I highly suggest you call Cal Sci and talk with Mark about your specific riding habits, the part of the country your in, and what your looking for in a windshield...The Ph # is 530-274-2714.

Rabbit1300 - I guess you can't sleep either!

I see the screen has an opening in the front - presumably to erradicate that annoying vacuum created behind the standard item. Is their screen the only one to feature that?
